Report of the SOLID Project Meeting & City Health Conference 2023, Kyrgyzstan
From 25 to 26 of April 2023, the SOLID Project Meeting took place in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan). The meeting was prepared by the SOLID team Kyrgyzstan. SOLID participants from China, Germany, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan travelled to Bishkek to participate in the meeting. For the first time since the project start, we were able to welcome our partners from Shanghai Mental Health Centre. After the project meeting, participants stayed to take part in the City Health Conference, which was organized by our Polish partners, the Global Public Health Network from 27 to 28 April 2023. The conference provided an excellent platform for discussing harm reduction policies in the region and worldwide. SOLID researchers participated as speakers and discussants during the conference and were able to make new contacts with state officials, researchers and members of the non-profit community in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
This report summarizes the main results of the project meeting and the SOLID presentations during the City Health Conference. We are happy about the wonderful time in Bishkek!
