I would like to invite you to SOLID Winter School at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. The event offers a variety of lectures by and for our doctoral candidates from SOLID partners in Central Asia and China, as well as from experts and colleagues from Europe and beyond. This international and interdisciplinary program is dedicated to education, research, and practice in social work. The lectures will focus on social work in the fields of drug use, treatment, HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases, as well as carceral social work in detention facilities. The invited speakers will cover aspects of history and international development of social work, drug policy and practice, address questions on how to deliver care, fight stigma and discrimination in day-to-day social work practice., and expand access to social services for the most marginalized and underprivileged groups in our society.
